Twin Flame

We said farewell, but not goodbye,

Cycle last we die — Don’t cry.

Next we meet, the stars’ll weep,

The souls we keep, cannot sleep.

For when the twin flames ignite,

There’s no other light, so bright.

I see your face without woe,

Even as you go, I know.

Though the end is oft unknown,

Our souls aren’t alone, that’s known.

When I fall into the ground

Your arms I’m found, love abound.

Fate has tied our hearts thereof,

Tighter than stars above, in love.

Family fear not our mortal flight,

Know we are alright, it’s alright.

This poem is written in honor of my grandmother, who never forgot her William.

He left this world in 1965. Yesterday, her soul went to find him. Her body will be buried with his.

I’ll miss her deeply.
